Survey answers as Help Scout conversations
Start a Help Scout conversation for each survey answer that needs a reply, or add it to one as a note, through a Zap that runs as soon as the answer arrives.
From an answer in Usertick to Help Scout
A Zap starts a conversation in the mailbox you choose with the answer and the customer's email, so support can reply from Help Scout, or adds the answer as a note on a conversation already open.
The Zap starts in Usertick. It can run on every new answer, once the AI has read one, when one turns urgent or when its status changes, and a workflow can hand over only the answers its conditions pick.
Pick a survey in the trigger, and each question arrives as its own field, so the score and the comment land in the Help Scout fields you choose. The answer's email, page, country, device and AI reading come with it.

Three Zaps to build with Help Scout
Each one starts on a Usertick trigger and uses an action from Zapier's page for Help Scout.
Draft a Help Scout reply to a low satisfaction score
Low satisfaction scores reach a workflow's Workflow Step. Find Conversation locates the customer's conversation by Respondent email, and Send Reply saves a draft that quotes Q1, so an agent reviews it before it goes out.
Help Scout action: Send Reply
Show the last score in a Help Scout customer property
New Response, set to the CSAT survey, runs Find Customer with the Respondent email, and Update Customer Properties writes Q1 and Survey name to properties agents see on the customer's profile.
Help Scout action: Update Customer Properties
Open a tagged Help Scout conversation on urgent feedback
Urgent Feedback opens a conversation in the mailbox you select, with Respondent email as the customer, AI category and AI theme as tags, and the Answers as its first thread.
Help Scout action: Create Conversation
Zapier's free plan runs a Zap with one action. A Zap with a search step or a filter has more steps and takes a paid Zapier plan.
What Usertick sends to Zapier
Every trigger carries these fields, ready to map into Help Scout.
Attachments such as screenshots stay in Usertick, because a Zap can't open their links. The Response link opens the answer with its files in the inbox.
Connect Help Scout in three steps
Settings opens Zapier with the trigger and the action already in place.
- 1
Pick the action in Usertick
Open Settings, then Integrations, select Help Scout and choose what the Zap does there.
- 2
Sign in on Zapier
Sign in to Usertick from the Zap and choose the organization when you allow access.
- 3
Map the fields and turn it on
Pick the survey to watch, map the answer's fields to Help Scout and turn the Zap on.
To send only some answers, add a Zapier step for Help Scout to a workflow instead. The workflow's conditions decide which answers reach the Zap, and the workflow can be published once its Zap is on.
Read the setup guideFrequently asked questions
When a conversation is marked as imported, Help Scout sends no outgoing email or notification for it. Leaving the setting off lets the assigned agent receive the usual notification for the new conversation.
Only when Create Conversation's auto reply setting is on. With it off, the customer receives nothing about a survey answer they already sent, and an agent can write the first reply.
Zapier comes with every plan in Usertick, and Free runs 1 Zap. On Zapier, a two-step Zap like this one runs on the free plan.
No. The Zap signs in with your Usertick account, and you choose the organization when you allow access. API keys are for Usertick's REST API.
Yes. Response Analyzed filters by type and urgency, Urgent Feedback runs once for each answer that turns urgent, and a workflow's Zapier step hands over only the answers its conditions pick.
Pick the survey in the trigger. Each question then arrives as its own field, such as Q1 with the score, ready to map into Help Scout.
A Zap that starts in Help Scout can use Usertick's actions. Update Response sets an answer's status, type or urgency, Add Comment adds a note your team sees in the inbox, and Find Response looks up an answer by email or ID first.
No. Attachments stay in Usertick, because a Zap can't open their links. The Response link field opens the answer, with its files, in the inbox.
