Website surveys that ask while visitors are still on the page

Add one script tag and run website surveys in a popup, a side button or right inside the page, opened at the moment you choose. Every written answer arrives already read by AI and filed under a topic, ready for the team that handles it.

What to ask on each page

Each page has its own moment and its own question. Start from one of these, then change the wording, the trigger or the pages to fit your site.

Find out what stops people from choosing a plan

Ask on the pricing page as a visitor heads for the exit, while the plans are still in front of them. The answers show whether the price, a missing feature or an unclear limit holds people back.

At home on every page

Pick the format that suits each page, and visitors see it in your colors and in their own language.

As loud or as quiet as the page needs

Open a popup in a corner, or center it on the screen when the question matters most. For a quieter ask, leave a side button at the edge of the page, or embed the survey right next to the content it asks about.

Looks like part of your site

Set your colors, font, corner radius and dark mode once in a theme, then reuse it on every survey.

Speaks your visitors’ language

Visitors see the survey in the language their browser prefers, and right-to-left languages such as Arabic and Hebrew get a mirrored layout. From Starter, AI translation fills in a new language and leaves the wording you wrote yourself as it is.

Ask when it matters

You pick the moment, from a visitor’s first scroll to the second they head for the exit, and the survey opens right then.

From a first scroll to a sign of frustration

Open a survey on page load, after a delay, at a scroll depth, on exit intent or when a visitor goes idle, on every plan. Clicks, form activity, video views and events from your own code work on 1 survey on Free and on every survey from Starter. Pro adds smart triggers that notice when a visitor seems frustrated, hesitates or can’t find what they came for.

See targeting and triggers

Reach the right visitors

Choose the pages a survey runs on, then narrow who sees it by device, country, new or returning visit, sign-in state or what you know about each user.

As often as you choose, and no more

Show a survey once, until the visitor answers, or again after a set number of days, and cap how many times one visitor sees it.

Know what visitors mean and who handles it

Answers from every page of your site arrive in one place, already read, so your team starts with the ones that need attention.

Read the moment it arrivesAI

AI reads each written answer as it comes in and sorts it by type, theme, sentiment and urgency, on every plan including Free.

Get it to the right person

On every plan, rules send the urgent answers to Slack, Microsoft Teams, Jira or Linear. In the inbox, each answer gets an owner and a status.

Live with one line of code

If your site can run a script, it can run Usertick, from a store theme to a single-page app.

Install once, then publish as often as you like

Paste the script tag into your site’s head, or follow the guide for your site builder. From then on, every survey you publish for that site goes live without another line of code.

Guides for your platform

See every guide

Step-by-step install guides for site builders, stores, tag managers and frameworks, each with the exact place the code goes.

A wide range of question types

Ratings, NPS, effort scores, choices, matrices, file uploads, signatures and more, each in the shape visitors already know.

Questions that adapt

Let each answer skip ahead, end the survey or open a follow-up, so visitors see only what applies to them.

Built for single-page apps

Surveys keep up with every route change in React, Vue and other single-page apps, so your page rules hold without a full page load.

Know who answered

Tell Usertick who is signed in, and each answer arrives tied to that user, with their traits ready to target and filter by from Starter.

See what they saw

Visitors can capture the page and mark it up next to their answer, while password and card fields are always blurred out. Every plan, 1 per survey on Free.

Photos and files

Ask for a photo or a document right in the survey, and Usertick strips location data from pictures on upload. Every plan, 1 per survey on Free.

Made for small screens

On phones, a popup opens as a sheet along the bottom of the screen and refits when the keyboard opens.

Control it from your code

Open or close a survey, tell Usertick who the visitor is, and send your own events to open a survey at exactly the right step.

Private by default

Usertick sets no third-party cookies and never stores a visitor’s IP address, only a one-way hash of it.

Website survey templates and questions

Frequently asked questions

Paste the Usertick script tag into the head of your site, or follow the install guide for your site builder. After that, every survey you publish for the site goes live on its own, with no further changes to your code.

The script loads in the background, so your page shows its content without waiting for it, and a survey appears only when its trigger fires. If Usertick can’t be reached, your page keeps working as usual.

Yes. Include the pages where a survey should run and exclude the ones where it shouldn’t, by an exact address, part of one or a pattern. When a page matches both lists, the exclusion wins.

You decide. Show it once, keep showing it until they answer, bring it back after a set number of days or show it on every visit. A cap on showings and a pause after someone closes it keep it from coming back too often.

Website surveys are on every plan, Free included. Triggers on clicks, forms and your own events, and targeting by earlier surveys, a share of your traffic, the referring site and the campaign a visitor came from, work on 1 survey on Free. Starter adds them on every survey, plus targeting by user traits and sign-in state. Pro adds smart triggers.

Yes. The install guide walks you through Shopify, WordPress, WooCommerce, Webflow, Wix, Squarespace, Framer and other site builders, as well as React, Next.js, Vue and other frameworks.

Yes. On phones, a popup opens as a sheet along the bottom of the screen and refits when the keyboard opens, and each trigger can be limited to desktop, tablet or mobile.

Yes. A theme sets the colors, font, corner radius and light or dark look, and the survey renders in its own isolated layer, so your site’s styles and the survey’s never clash. Pro and above can hide the Powered by Usertick badge and add custom CSS.

Keep it short: one or two questions on most pages, with a follow-up only when the first answer calls for one. Logic can open the follow-up for some answers and skip it for the rest.

Yes. Every question except a signature can be answered with the keyboard alone, screen readers announce errors and timers, and the survey follows the visitor’s reduced motion and high contrast settings.
