Usertick
E-commerce surveys

Hear shoppers from the first search to the return

Ask on product pages and at the cart, by email after delivery and with a QR code on the returns slip. Usertick reads every written answer, files it under shipping, returns, checkout or product quality, and sends each problem to the person who fixes it.

Feedback from every step of an order

E-commerce surveys work best when each one asks about a single step: finding the product, the cart, the parcel at the door, the return. Analytics shows where shoppers drop off and which orders come back. A short question at that step shows why.

With Usertick, a survey opens on your product pages and at the cart, goes out by email after delivery and waits behind a QR code on the returns slip. Every channel feeds the same Results, so the delivery score, the reasons carts are left and the reasons items come back sit side by side.

Every written answer is filed under shipping, returns, checkout, product quality, stock or finding products, with an urgency. Workflows then send a damaged parcel to your help desk and an unhappy repeat buyer to Klaviyo, and a weekly report brings the results to the team.

Ask at every step of an order

From the first search to the return, each step gets its own short survey.

On product and search pages

Ask whether shoppers found what they came for after a minute on a product page, on every plan. When a shopper searches again with different words, the Can't find it trigger opens it on Pro and above.

At the cart, as shoppers leave

Open a short survey as a shopper heads for the exit from the cart, on a computer or a phone, and see which reason comes up most: the shipping cost, a missing payment method or a slow delivery date. Every plan.

Right after the order

Embed the survey under the order summary on your confirmation page and ask how easy buying was. Shopify doesn't run the widget on checkout pages, so a Shopify store asks about the order by email instead.

After delivery, by email

Send the delivery survey to your recent buyers, now or on a date up to 30 days ahead, with the rating inside the message. One tap opens the rest of the survey with that rating kept.

After a return

Put the survey's link in your refund email or its QR code on the returns slip, and ask how easy the return was and why the item came back.

Answers filed the way your store works

Choose E-commerce / retail when you sign up, and every written answer is filed under shipping and delivery, returns and refunds, checkout and payment, product quality, stock and availability or finding products, each with a theme, a type and an urgency. Rename categories and themes on every plan, and add suggested ones such as Customer service or Loyalty and rewards within your plan's limit, from 5 categories on Free to 30 on Business.

See which step costs you orders

Results turns each answer into a share you can compare with the period before.

The reasons behind lost carts and returns

See the share of each reason, with every typed Other answer beside the chart, and select one to read what those shoppers wrote.

The pages and devices that score lower

See each product page, device and country with its own score, and the groups well below the rest marked as clearly lower.

Put every problem in front of the person who fixes it

Workflows send each answer to the right tool the moment it arrives.

Urgent problems in Slack

Post every answer read as urgent, such as a parcel that never came, to your support channel, with buttons that assign it or set its status. Every plan.

A ticket in your help desk

Open a Gorgias, Freshdesk or Help Scout ticket through a Zapier step, or a Zendesk ticket with the answers as an internal note, on every plan.

A tag on the Shopify customer

Tag or update the Shopify customer, or add a note to the WooCommerce order, through a Zapier step. Every plan, and Shopify on Zapier needs a paid Zapier plan.

The answer on the Klaviyo profile

Send each answer that carries the shopper's email as an event on their Klaviyo profile, ready to start a thank-you flow or a win-back. Every plan.

A weekly report for the team

Send a survey's results or a dashboard as a PDF by email, Slack or Microsoft Teams every week, so whoever owns delivery sees the score. Pro and above.

Works with the tools your store runs on

Send answers to your help desk, your email marketing and your store admin, so each problem reaches someone who can act on it where they already work.

How online stores start with Usertick

Four steps from the script tag to answers in your help desk.

  1. 1

    Add Usertick to your store

Paste the script tag into your theme once. Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce and Magento each have a short guide.

  2. 2

    Start from a template

Pick Did you find it?, Cart abandonment, Delivery experience or Returns and refunds, or describe what you want to learn to Create with AI.

  3. 3

    Choose the moment

Show it on chosen pages or as shoppers leave the cart, email it to recent buyers, or print its QR code for the returns slip, then choose how often it returns.

  4. 4

    Send problems to your team

Add a workflow that posts urgent answers to Slack and opens a ticket in your help desk.

How online stores get answers they can use

Six habits that keep surveys short and the follow-up fast.

  1. 01

Give each step its own survey

Ask about search, the cart, the delivery and the return separately, so each score points to one part of the order.

  2. 02

    Keep checkout clear

Ask at the cart and after the order, and leave the payment step free of surveys.

  3. 03

    Wait for the parcel

Ask about the delivery a day or two after it arrives, and about the product once the shopper has used it for a week.

  4. 04

    Ask repeat buyers about loyalty

Show the loyalty question only to returning shoppers, or email it after a third order, so first-time visitors aren't asked about coming back.

  5. 05

Ask for a photo when something broke

On every plan, send shoppers who say an item arrived damaged to a photo question, so support sees the problem before it replies.

  6. 06

    Reply within a day

Give every damaged, late or missing order an owner, and close it once the shopper has heard back.

Frequently asked questions

Ask shoppers on product pages and at the cart, after the order, after delivery and after a return, on your store, by email or with a QR code. Usertick reads every written answer, files it under shipping, returns, checkout or product quality, and sends problems to Slack, your help desk or Klaviyo.

Yes. The Shopify guide adds the script tag to your theme once, and surveys run on your store's pages, the cart included. Shopify doesn't run the widget on checkout pages, which include the Thank you and Order status pages, so ask about the order by email or with a link in your shipping email. Through a Zapier step on any plan, a workflow can tag or update the Shopify customer, and Shopify on Zapier needs a paid Zapier plan.

Each has a short install guide, and any other store can paste the script tag into its pages. Through a Zapier step on any plan, a workflow can add a note to a WooCommerce order, update the customer or create a coupon.

From a HubSpot workflow, yes, on any plan: the workflow can email the survey to each customer it enrolls, on HubSpot Professional or Enterprise. Without HubSpot, send the survey to a list of recent buyers, schedule it up to 30 days ahead, or add its link to your store's own shipping email or Klaviyo flow.

Usertick has no coupons of its own. A call to action at the end of the survey can open your offer page, and through a Zapier step on any plan, a workflow can create a WooCommerce coupon or email a Tremendous reward.

No. Usertick keeps the answers and doesn't post them to your product pages or to review sites. Through a Zapier step on any plan, a workflow can send a Trustpilot invitation to every shopper who answered.

Yes. Each shopper sees the survey in their browser's language when the survey has it. A survey holds 1 language on Free, 3 on Starter and every available language on Pro, AI translation fills them from Starter, and every written answer is read in the language it was written in.

The script loads without blocking your pages, and your store keeps working if Usertick can't be reached. The widget keeps its styles to itself, so your theme looks the same.

The widget keeps first-party cookies and local storage on your own domain to remember which surveys a shopper saw or answered, and sets no third-party cookies. Nothing is sent until a shopper submits an answer, and Usertick keeps a hash of the IP address, never the address itself. When your store asks for consent first, load the script after the shopper agrees.

Website and email surveys, exit intent, Results, AI reading and workflows to Slack, Klaviyo, Zendesk and Zapier come with every plan, the free plan included, with 150 responses a month and 1 workflow per survey. Starter adds 1,000 responses, 3 workflows per survey and as many photo questions as you need, and Pro adds smart triggers, scheduled reports and every language.
