Choose the audience and the fields
Pick the audience, the tags and the merge fields that receive the NPS, a score, the survey's name and the date, and map any answer to a text, number or date field.
Write each survey answer to the contact in your Mailchimp audience as merge fields and tags, and add an event that a journey or a segment can use.
Mailchimp knows each contact by email. With the Mailchimp integration, an answer updates the contact in the audience you choose: the score in a merge field, the survey's name and date in others, and the tags you set, such as promoter or usertick.
Each answer can also add the usertick_survey_response event to the contact, with the survey, the score and a link to the answer, ready for a customer journey or a segment in Mailchimp.
Usertick never subscribes anyone. It updates people who are already contacts and, only when you turn it on, adds new people as transactional contacts, who don't get your campaigns.
A workflow step updates the contact in the audience it chooses.
Pick the audience, the tags and the merge fields that receive the NPS, a score, the survey's name and the date, and map any answer to a text, number or date field.
The usertick_survey_response event lands on the contact with the survey, the score and a link to the answer, so a journey can thank a promoter or follow up on a low score.
Each answer updates the contact with the answer's email.
Connecting writes nothing by itself. Each workflow step chooses its audience.
In Usertick, open Settings, then Integrations, select Mailchimp and sign in. One connection covers every audience in the account.
Choose the audience, the tags and the merge fields, and whether to add new people as contacts.
A test run on a real answer reads the audience and the contact and shows the requests it would send, without writing anything.
Mailchimp comes with every plan, along with the workflows that run the step. Free runs 1 workflow per survey.
No. Usertick never changes a contact's subscription. With Add new people as contacts on, new people join as transactional contacts, who don't get your campaigns.
The answer had no email, or the person isn't a contact in the audience and the step doesn't add new contacts. The workflow's activity lists each skipped run with its reason.
No. Usertick writes to the merge fields your audience already has, so add the fields in Mailchimp first.
Mailchimp has no way to drop a duplicate event, so Usertick doesn't send the event again after a timeout. The workflow's activity notes that it may have arrived.
The workflow steps that used the connection stop sending. Mailchimp has no way for Usertick to revoke its access, so remove the app under Connected apps in Mailchimp too.
