When Refiner may fit better

Refiner fits better for a SaaS, fintech or marketplace team that surveys signed-in users inside web and native mobile apps and wants unlimited responses priced by active users.

Where Refiner is strong

  • Native mobile SDKs

iOS, Android, React Native and Flutter SDKs are on every plan, with screen visit triggers and segment targeting inside apps.1

  • Unlimited responses

Every paid plan includes unlimited survey responses and unlimited team members, and the price follows monthly active users.1

  • Connected to the product data stack

From Growth, Refiner connects to Segment, RudderStack, Amplitude, Mixpanel, Braze, Customer.io, BigQuery and Salesforce, and tracks user events for targeting.1

  • Compliance on every plan

Refiner's pricing page lists “SOC 2 Type II Compliance”, “HIPAA Compliance”, GDPR and data retention controls on every plan.1

Where Usertick works differently

  1. 01

    Priced by responses

A Usertick plan has one monthly response limit for the whole organization, so the number of signed-in users doesn't change the price.

  2. 02

    150 free responses a month

Usertick Free has 150 responses a month, 3 surveys, 2 members and every channel, with AI reading of written answers.

  3. 03

    Email sent by Usertick

Usertick sends email surveys to a contact list now or up to 30 days ahead, from 50 emails a month on Free to 10,000 on Business.

  4. 04

A QR code for every survey

Each survey has a hosted page and a QR code as PNG or SVG, and tags on the link travel with each answer.

Moving from Refiner to Usertick

Your questions come across as text. Usertick builds the survey from them, and you set the rest in the editor.

  1. 1

    Copy your questions from Refiner

Open the survey in Refiner and copy its questions and answer options as plain text.

  2. 2

    Paste them into Usertick

Under Create survey, Paste questions turns up to 10,000 characters of text into a survey, with the wording kept and the right type for each question.

  3. 3

    Set what text doesn't carry

Add the logic, the timing and the theme in the editor, then preview the survey.

  4. 4

Publish, then close the old survey

Put the survey on your website, in an email, on a link or on a QR code. Close the one in Refiner once Usertick's is live, so that nobody answers twice.

Usertick doesn't import earlier responses. They stay in Refiner, so keep them there or export them where Refiner allows it.
