About Jotform
Jotform calls itself “an AI-powered online form builder and workflow automation platform.”2
- Founded in 2006 by Aytekin Tank, its founder and CEO. Headquartered in San Francisco, with offices in Sydney, London, Vancouver, Ankara, Izmir and Istanbul.2
- Jotform says it is “bootstrapped and user-focused.”2
When Jotform may fit better
Jotform fits better when a form runs a process, such as payments, e-signatures, approvals, HIPAA-enabled intake or offline kiosk collection, more than feedback on a website.
Where Jotform is strong
- More than forms
Jotform adds apps, e-signatures, workflows, boards, tables, PDF forms, a store builder and AI agents to its form builder.1
- Offline and kiosk collection
Kiosk Mode turns a phone or tablet into a form station, with offline entries that sync later, a PIN lock and an inactivity timeout.10
- HIPAA features on Gold
Gold and Enterprise offer optional HIPAA features, such as encryption, auditing and PHI segmentation, for forms that collect medical information.1
- Scheduled reminder emails
Reminder emails go out daily, weekly or monthly between a start and an end date, with up to three reminders per form on paid plans.6
Where Usertick works differently
- 01
Triggers and targeting for website surveys
Usertick opens a website survey on page load, delay, scroll, exit intent or idle on every plan, and targets it by page, device and country.
- 02
AI reading on every plan
Each written answer gets a category, a theme, a type, a sentiment and an urgency, in any language, on every plan, Free included.
- 03
Answers inside the email
Usertick sends email surveys to a contact list, now or scheduled up to 30 days ahead, and NPS, Stars, CES, Emoji, Yes / No, Multiple choice and Dropdown questions can be answered inside the email.
- 04
Extra responses that never expire
At the monthly limit, collection stops until the next month unless the organization has extra responses, bought once at $0.10 each and kept through plan changes.
Moving from Jotform to Usertick
Your questions come across as text. Usertick builds the survey from them, and you set the rest in the editor.
- 1
Copy your questions from Jotform
Open the survey in Jotform and copy its questions and answer options as plain text.
- 2
Paste them into Usertick
Under Create survey, Paste questions turns up to 10,000 characters of text into a survey, with the wording kept and the right type for each question.
- 3
Set what text doesn't carry
Add the logic, the timing and the theme in the editor, then preview the survey.
- 4
Publish, then close the old survey
Put the survey on your website, in an email, on a link or on a QR code. Close the one in Jotform once Usertick's is live, so that nobody answers twice.
Usertick doesn't import earlier responses. They stay in Jotform, so keep them there or export them where Jotform allows it.
How Paste questions worksFrequently asked questions
Yes. Jotform's Starter plan is free with 5 active forms and 100 submissions a month, and forms carry Jotform branding. Usertick Free has 150 responses a month, 3 surveys and AI reading of written answers.
Jotform embeds a form as a lightbox that can open on page load, a floating feedback button or a pop-up link. Usertick website surveys open on triggers such as scroll, exit intent or idle and target by page, device and country.
Jotform disables the forms and shows a “Form over quota” message until the monthly usage resets or the account upgrades. At the Usertick monthly limit, collection stops until the next month unless the organization has extra responses.
Copy a form's questions and use Paste questions in Usertick, which reads up to 10 questions from any text on Free, 100 on Starter and 200 on Pro and above.
