About SurveyMonkey
SurveyMonkey calls itself a continuous insights platform for marketing, CX and HR teams, with AI survey creation and analysis, listening programs and a global panel.1
- Momentive Global, maker of SurveyMonkey, became privately held on May 31, 2023, when an investor group led by Symphony Technology Group (STG) completed its purchase for about $1.5 billion.2
When SurveyMonkey may fit better
SurveyMonkey fits better when you need a paid panel for market research, statistical analysis such as crosstabs, kiosk or text message surveys, or surveys inside native mobile apps.
Where SurveyMonkey is strong
- A panel for market research
SurveyMonkey Audience sells responses from a global panel of over 335 million people, for research beyond your own customers.1
- Many ways to collect
Web links, QR codes, email, website embeds and popups, text messages, offline kiosk surveys, manual data entry and a mobile SDK.6
- Research analysis
Advantage adds statistical significance and multi-survey analysis. Premier adds crosstabs, block randomization and multilingual surveys.4
- Enterprise controls
Enterprise adds single sign-on, user management and reports, and a data center in the United States, Canada or the EU.5
Where Usertick works differently
- 01
One price per organization
Usertick plans aren't priced by seat. Starter includes 3 members, Pro 10, and Business has no member limit.
- 02
AI reading on the Free plan
Each written answer gets a category, a theme, a type, a sentiment and an urgency, in any language, on every plan, Free included.
- 03
Triggers for website surveys
Usertick opens website surveys on page load, delay, scroll, exit intent or idle on every plan, and smart triggers such as frustration or hesitation from Pro.
- 04
Extra responses that never expire
At the monthly limit, collection stops until the next month unless the organization has extra responses, bought once at $0.10 each and kept through plan changes.
Moving from SurveyMonkey to Usertick
Your questions come across as text. Usertick builds the survey from them, and you set the rest in the editor.
- 1
Copy your questions from SurveyMonkey
Open the survey in SurveyMonkey and copy its questions and answer options as plain text.
- 2
Paste them into Usertick
Under Create survey, Paste questions turns up to 10,000 characters of text into a survey, with the wording kept and the right type for each question.
- 3
Set what text doesn't carry
Add the logic, the timing and the theme in the editor, then preview the survey.
- 4
Publish, then close the old survey
Put the survey on your website, in an email, on a link or on a QR code. Close the one in SurveyMonkey once Usertick's is live, so that nobody answers twice.
Usertick doesn't import earlier responses. They stay in SurveyMonkey, so keep them there or export them where SurveyMonkey allows it.
