Survey answers as Basecamp to-dos
Add a Basecamp to-do or a message for each survey answer, or comment on a to-do, through a Zap that runs the moment a customer answers your survey.
From an answer in Usertick to Basecamp
A Zap adds a to-do to the list you choose, posts the answer on the project's message board, or comments on a to-do the answer is about.
The Zap starts in Usertick. It can run on every new answer, once the AI has read one, when one turns urgent or when its status changes, and a workflow can hand over only the answers its conditions pick.
Pick a survey in the trigger, and each question arrives as its own field, so the score and the comment land in the Basecamp fields you choose. The answer's email, page, country, device and AI reading come with it.

Three Zaps to build with Basecamp
Each one starts on a Usertick trigger and uses an action from Zapier's page for Basecamp.
Post urgent feedback in a Basecamp Campfire
Urgent Feedback posts a line in the project's Campfire with AI theme, Survey name and the Response link, so the people in that chat see the answer as soon as it turns urgent.
Basecamp action: Create Campfire Message
Put a follow-up call on the Basecamp schedule
Requests for a call clear a workflow's conditions on the way to its Workflow Step. Create Schedule Entry adds an entry with the start and end you set, the Respondent email in its summary and Q1 in its description.
Basecamp action: Create Schedule Entry
Write up a resolved answer as a Basecamp doc
Once a teammate resolves an answer, Response Status Changed and a Zapier filter on New status create a doc in the folder you select, with Survey name as the title and the Answers and Changed by as its content.
Basecamp action: Create Document
Zapier's free plan runs a Zap with one action. A Zap with a search step or a filter has more steps and takes a paid Zapier plan.
What Usertick sends to Zapier
Every trigger carries these fields, ready to map into Basecamp.
Attachments such as screenshots stay in Usertick, because a Zap can't open their links. The Response link opens the answer with its files in the inbox.
Connect Basecamp in three steps
Settings opens Zapier with the trigger and the action already in place.
- 1
Pick the action in Usertick
Open Settings, then Integrations, select Basecamp and choose what the Zap does there.
- 2
Sign in on Zapier
Sign in to Usertick from the Zap and choose the organization when you allow access.
- 3
Map the fields and turn it on
Pick the survey to watch, map the answer's fields to Basecamp and turn the Zap on.
To send only some answers, add a Zapier step for Basecamp to a workflow instead. The workflow's conditions decide which answers reach the Zap, and the workflow can be published once its Zap is on.

Each Basecamp action asks for the account and the project, and to-do actions also ask for the to-do set and the list. A Zap writes to the project you select, so answers for two clients need two Zaps or two workflow steps.
Create To-Do has assignee and notify settings, so the people you assign receive Basecamp's usual notification about the new to-do. The Response link can go in the description, so they can open the answer from there.
Zapier comes with every plan in Usertick, and Free runs 1 Zap. On Zapier, a two-step Zap like this one runs on the free plan.
No. The Zap signs in with your Usertick account, and you choose the organization when you allow access. API keys are for Usertick's REST API.
Yes. Response Analyzed filters by type and urgency, Urgent Feedback runs once for each answer that turns urgent, and a workflow's Zapier step hands over only the answers its conditions pick.
Pick the survey in the trigger. Each question then arrives as its own field, such as Q1 with the score, ready to map into Basecamp.
A Zap that starts in Basecamp can use Usertick's actions. Update Response sets an answer's status, type or urgency, Add Comment adds a note your team sees in the inbox, and Find Response looks up an answer by email or ID first.
No. Attachments stay in Usertick, because a Zap can't open their links. The Response link field opens the answer, with its files, in the inbox.
