Survey answers as Canny posts
Post survey answers to a Canny board, or add them as comments on an existing post, through a Zap that runs as soon as a customer answers your survey.
From an answer in Usertick to Canny
Feature requests come in through surveys as often as through the board. A Zap posts the answer to the Canny board you choose, or adds it as a comment on an existing post.
The Zap starts in Usertick. It can run on every new answer, once the AI has read one, when one turns urgent or when its status changes, and a workflow can hand over only the answers its conditions pick.
Pick a survey in the trigger, and each question arrives as its own field, so the score and the comment land in the Canny fields you choose. The answer's email, page, country, device and AI reading come with it.

Three Zaps to build with Canny
Each one starts on a Usertick trigger and uses an action from Zapier's page for Canny.
Send idea answers to a Canny board
When the AI reads an answer as an idea, Response Analyzed runs Create or Update User with the Respondent email, then Create a Post on the board you select, with AI theme as the title and the Answers as the details.
Canny action: Create a Post
Let Canny Autopilot read open-ended answers
On New Response, Scan With Autopilot adds the Answers to Canny's Autopilot queue as a conversation, with the Respondent email as the author's email and the Page URL as the source, so Autopilot can look for requests in them.
Canny action: Scan With Autopilot
Add a private comment to a known Canny post
A workflow matches the answers that name one feature, and Workflow Step runs Comment on a Post with an internal comment on the post you select, holding Q1 and the Response link.
Canny action: Comment on a Post
Zapier's free plan runs a Zap with one action. A Zap with a search step or a filter has more steps and takes a paid Zapier plan.
What Usertick sends to Zapier
Every trigger carries these fields, ready to map into Canny.
Attachments such as screenshots stay in Usertick, because a Zap can't open their links. The Response link opens the answer with its files in the inbox.
Connect Canny in three steps
Settings opens Zapier with the trigger and the action already in place.
- 1
Pick the action in Usertick
Open Settings, then Integrations, select Canny and choose what the Zap does there.
- 2
Sign in on Zapier
Sign in to Usertick from the Zap and choose the organization when you allow access.
- 3
Map the fields and turn it on
Pick the survey to watch, map the answer's fields to Canny and turn the Zap on.
To send only some answers, add a Zapier step for Canny to a workflow instead. The workflow's conditions decide which answers reach the Zap, and the workflow can be published once its Zap is on.

Create a Post requires an author, so a Create or Update User step comes first. It finds or creates the Canny user from a name and the Respondent email, and returns the ID the post needs.
A Zap that starts on Response Status Changed can run Change Post Status on the post you name. The action's notify setting decides whether Canny tells the post's voters about the new status.
Zapier comes with every plan in Usertick, and Free runs 1 Zap. On Zapier, a two-step Zap like this one runs on the free plan.
No. The Zap signs in with your Usertick account, and you choose the organization when you allow access. API keys are for Usertick's REST API.
Yes. Response Analyzed filters by type and urgency, Urgent Feedback runs once for each answer that turns urgent, and a workflow's Zapier step hands over only the answers its conditions pick.
Pick the survey in the trigger. Each question then arrives as its own field, such as Q1 with the score, ready to map into Canny.
A Zap that starts in Canny can use Usertick's actions. Update Response sets an answer's status, type or urgency, Add Comment adds a note your team sees in the inbox, and Find Response looks up an answer by email or ID first.
No. Attachments stay in Usertick, because a Zap can't open their links. The Response link field opens the answer, with its files, in the inbox.
