Survey answers as Jira issues your team works

Turn survey answers into Jira issues with the answer, the priority and a link back to Usertick. As the issue moves in Jira, the answer's status follows if you choose.

Bug reports land where the code gets fixed

Customers tell you about bugs in surveys as often as in support tickets. With the Jira integration, an answer the AI reads as a bug becomes an issue in the project you choose, with the survey, the answer and the files the person added.

A workflow decides which answers become issues. It can file every answer to one survey, only the urgent ones, or only those the AI read as a bug, and it can add an answer to the open issue for the same theme instead of opening another one.

Once the team works on the issue, Jira tells Usertick. The answer shows the issue's status, priority, assignee and sprint, and you can let the status, the priority, the assignee, the type and the comments flow back to the answer.

From an answer to an issue, and back

A workflow files the issue, and the issue keeps the answer up to date.

An issue for each answer

Choose the project, the issue type, the summary and the description, and let the priority match the AI urgency. Fill the fields your Jira needs, add labels and attach up to 10 files from the answer.

Status that follows the issue

The answer lists its linked issue with the status, the priority, the assignee and the sprint. Choose what flows back, and Done in Jira can resolve the answer while In progress sets it in progress.

One issue for the same theme

Add answers to the open issue for the same AI theme, and each new answer arrives as a comment with the running count. The team reads one issue instead of ten duplicates.

File issues from the inbox

Create a Jira issue from any answer in the inbox, or select up to 50 answers and file them as one issue that lists each of them.

What Usertick sends to Jira

Each issue the step creates carries these.

PriorityThe one you choose, or the AI urgency matched to High, Medium or Low
Assignee, Components, other fieldsThe values you set in the step, including the fields your Jira requires
LabelsYour labels and usertick
Usertick responseA link on the issue that opens the answer in Usertick
AttachmentsUp to 10 files from the answer, each up to 10 MB
CommentsAnother answer about the same theme, and your team's inbox notes when you choose

Connect Jira in three steps

Nothing syncs until you choose what to sync.

  1. 1

    Sign in with Jira

In Usertick, open Settings, then Integrations, select Jira and sign in. Choose the Jira site, then what syncs back to Usertick.

  2. 2

Add Create an issue to a workflow

Choose the project and the issue type, fill the fields your Jira needs, and choose one issue per answer or one per theme.

  3. 3

    Test it, then publish

A test run creates a real issue marked [Test] for the survey's latest answer, without linking it to the answer.

The integration works with Jira Cloud. Jira Server, Data Center and API tokens aren't supported.

Frequently asked questions

Jira comes with every plan, along with the workflows that create the issues. Free runs 1 workflow per survey.

When you choose Status moves the response, yes. By default In progress sets the answer in progress and Done resolves it, and you can map each status category yourself.

No. Usertick creates the issue and can send the urgency and your notes, and the team moves the issue in Jira.

No. An answer keeps one open issue for each Jira connection, and a retry finds the issue it already created instead of opening another.

The summary, the description, the priority, the assignee, the components, the labels and the required fields your issue type has, as text, numbers, options or dates. User fields stay as Jira sets them.

Yes. Usertick attaches up to 10 files from the answer, each up to 10 MB, such as screenshots. You can turn it off in the step.

The issues stay in Jira, and the answers lose their links to them. Workflow steps that used the connection stop sending until another connection is assigned.
