An app rating survey asks how people feel about your app before you ask them for a store rating. This template takes about 45 seconds: a face from very bad to very good and, for anyone who picks Okay or lower, one open question on what would make the app better. People who pick Good or Very good go straight to the end, where a call to action invites them, like everyone else, to rate the app in the store.
It is written for a success moment, such as a finished task, a saved project or a goal reached, and never for the first launch. Usertick's script runs in web apps and on mobile sites, where a custom event from your code can open the survey at that moment (from Starter, or on 1 survey on Free). Inside a phone app, have the app open the survey's link at the same moment. It can also go by email to your contact list, with the face question inside the message.
Usertick reads each written answer as it arrives and files it under a category from your list, such as ease of use or speed and reliability, with a type such as bug or idea and an urgency. Results shows the share of each face against the period before and how many people selected the store button, so you see the mood and the invitations it led to side by side.
