Survey answers as Twilio text and WhatsApp messages
Send a text or a WhatsApp message through Twilio for each survey answer that needs someone fast, through a Zap that runs as soon as the answer arrives.
From an answer in Usertick to Twilio
When an answer can't wait, a text reaches someone faster than an inbox. A Zap sends a text message or a WhatsApp message with the answer to the number you choose. WhatsApp messages need a WhatsApp sender set up in Twilio.
The Zap starts in Usertick. It can run on every new answer, once the AI has read one, when one turns urgent or when its status changes, and a workflow can hand over only the answers its conditions pick.
Pick a survey in the trigger, and each question arrives as its own field, so the score and the comment land in the Twilio fields you choose. The answer's email, page, country, device and AI reading come with it.

What the Zap can do in Twilio
Choose the action in Usertick, and Zapier opens with the trigger and the action already in place.
- 01Send a text message
- 02Send a WhatsApp message
Zapier's page for Twilio listed 4 actions and searches on November 1, 2026. These fit survey answers best.

Three Zaps to build with Twilio
Each one starts on a Usertick trigger and uses an action from Zapier's page for Twilio.
Text the on-call number for urgent feedback
Urgent Feedback sends an SMS from your Twilio number to the on-call phone, with AI theme, Survey name and the Response link in the message body, once for each answer.
Twilio action: Send SMS
Call a manager with a spoken alert through Twilio
For answers your team treats as critical, a workflow's Workflow Step places a Twilio call to the manager's number, where a voice reads Survey name and AI theme as the message.
Twilio action: Call Phone
Send a WhatsApp reply to a number the survey collected
A survey that asks for a phone number and consent starts New Response, and Send WhatsApp Message uses that answer as the recipient and your Twilio WhatsApp sender as the sender, with Survey name in the message.
Twilio action: Send WhatsApp Message
Zapier's free plan runs a Zap with one action. A Zap with a search step or a filter has more steps and takes a paid Zapier plan.
What Usertick sends to Zapier
Every trigger carries these fields, ready to map into Twilio.
Attachments such as screenshots stay in Usertick, because a Zap can't open their links. The Response link opens the answer with its files in the inbox.
Connect Twilio in three steps
Settings opens Zapier with the trigger and the action already in place.
- 1
Pick the action in Usertick
Open Settings, then Integrations, select Twilio and choose what the Zap does there.
- 2
Sign in on Zapier
Sign in to Usertick from the Zap and choose the organization when you allow access.
- 3
Map the fields and turn it on
Pick the survey to watch, map the answer's fields to Twilio and turn the Zap on.
To send only some answers, add a Zapier step for Twilio to a workflow instead. The workflow's conditions decide which answers reach the Zap, and the workflow can be published once its Zap is on.

Usertick has no phone field of its own in a Zap, so the recipient is a fixed number, such as a manager's, or the answer to a survey question that asks for one. Twilio expects it in E.164 format, with the plus sign and the country code.
WhatsApp allows free-form business messages only within 24 hours of the customer's last message. Outside that window, Twilio needs a pre-approved template, so check the wording before a Zap messages customers.
Zapier comes with every plan in Usertick, and Free runs 1 Zap. On Zapier, a two-step Zap like this one runs on the free plan.
No. The Zap signs in with your Usertick account, and you choose the organization when you allow access. API keys are for Usertick's REST API.
Yes. Response Analyzed filters by type and urgency, Urgent Feedback runs once for each answer that turns urgent, and a workflow's Zapier step hands over only the answers its conditions pick.
Pick the survey in the trigger. Each question then arrives as its own field, such as Q1 with the score, ready to map into Twilio.
A Zap that starts in Twilio can use Usertick's actions. Update Response sets an answer's status, type or urgency, Add Comment adds a note your team sees in the inbox, and Find Response looks up an answer by email or ID first.
No. Attachments stay in Usertick, because a Zap can't open their links. The Response link field opens the answer, with its files, in the inbox.
