AI feature questions that show where users trust the output
Ask users whether your AI features help, how far they trust the results and what makes them switch the AI off. Each question below comes with when to ask it and what the answer tells you.
What AI feature feedback survey questions tell you
AI feature feedback survey questions ask users whether they have tried your AI features, how helpful and accurate the output feels, how much time it saves and what worries them about it. Adoption numbers show who pressed the AI button. Trust and accuracy only show up when you ask, and they decide whether people come back to it.
Ask inside the product after someone has used the AI a few times, and give users who never tried it a short path through the first question and the concerns. Pick four or five: whether they tried it, helpfulness, trust, the main concern and one open question.
Each written answer is read as it arrives and gets a type such as bug, idea or complaint and a sentiment, so reports of wrong output stand apart from requests. Give each complaint about accuracy an owner in the inbox, and pass the examples to the team that tunes the model.

The 11 ai features questions, with when to ask each
Grouped by what they tell you. Use them as they are or change the wording.
Who uses the AI features
Start here, so every other answer can be read by whether the user tried the AI and how often they use it.
- 01Yes / No
Have you tried the AI features?
Splits users who tried the AI from those who never did. Add logic so users who answer No go straight to the concerns question, which tells you what held them back.
- 06Number
How many times a week do you use the AI features?
Weekly uses as a number. Read it with the time saved: frequent use with little time saved suggests users run the AI and then correct most of what it gives them.
Whether the output helps
Helpfulness, accuracy, time saved and the drafting preference show what the AI is worth in daily work.
- 02Stars
How helpful were the AI features?
Five stars for how helpful the AI features were. Each card in Results compares with the period before, so a model change shows up as a change in the average.
- 04Mood dial
How accurate did the AI feel?
A mood dial for how accurate the AI felt. Results shows the faces with each share, a quick view of how many users came away disappointed by the output.
- 05Ruler
How much time did AI save you this week?
Minutes saved this week, on a ruler up to two hours. Results shows the median and the middle half, a fair figure to share inside your company when a few users save a lot.
- 07This or that
Which do you prefer for a first draft?
One pair: the AI drafts it or the user writes it. The split bar shows how much of the first draft users are willing to hand over, which guides where to put the AI button.
Trust and concerns
These questions show what holds users back, from doubts about accuracy to privacy, and ask before you use their prompts.
- 03Big scale
How much do you trust the AI's output?
Trust on a ten-step scale. Helpful output that users don't trust means they check every result by hand, which eats the time the AI was meant to save.
- 08Multiple choice
What concerns you about AI features?
Lets users pick every concern that applies, from privacy to losing control. The bars show which worry to address first in your settings, your help pages or your sales material.
- 10Text
If you turned AI off, what made you?
Asks users who switched the AI off for the reason, in their own words. Users who kept it on can leave it empty, and each answer gets a type and a sentiment.
- 11Consent
May we use your anonymized prompts to improve our AI features?
A consent question that asks before you use the user's prompts to improve the AI. Say in the wording what happens to the prompts, and only use those of users who agreed.
What the AI should do next
End with the open question, which gives you the next job users want the AI to take on.
- 09Text
What should the AI do that it cannot yet?
An open question for the job users want the AI to take on next. Filter the answers by theme to see which requests repeat before you plan the next AI feature.
Tips for asking about ai features
Small choices that get honest, useful answers.
- 01
Ask after a few uses
One try of an AI feature tells you little about trust. Wait until a user has used it a few times, then ask inside the product.
- 02
Ask users who never tried it
The concerns of users who skip the AI are as useful as the ratings of those who use it. Keep a short path for them to the concerns question.
- 03
Collect examples of wrong output
When a user reports wrong output, ask for the example in the open question and give the answer an owner in the inbox.
- 04
Be clear about prompts
When you ask to use prompts, say what you will do with them in plain words, and keep the consent question apart from the ratings.
