Find out how the night went, and who wants to do more

Four questions for guests the morning after your fundraiser: how satisfied they were, what brought them, whether they would like to volunteer and how to reach them. Use it as it is or change any question, and Usertick reads every written answer for you.

What this fundraising event survey tells you

A fundraising event survey asks guests how the evening went while the speeches and the auction are still fresh. This template takes about 50 seconds: a star rating for the event, what brought each guest, whether they would like to volunteer and a contact question for the ones who do.

It is written for the morning after, sent by Usertick to your guest list with the stars inside the email. The same survey runs as a link in your own follow-up email or as a QR code on the program and the table cards, and on your website it can open on the event page for guests who come back to see the photos.

Typed Other answers are read as they arrive and filed under a category from your list, such as events and fundraisers or volunteering, with a type and a sentiment. Results shows the average rating and the share who gave 4 or 5 stars, the reasons guests came, the share who said yes to volunteering and a table of the names and emails they left.

In an email

Send it from Usertick to a contact list, with the first question inside the email. A tap on an answer opens the rest of the survey with that answer already kept. Usertick sends 50 emails a month on the free plan, or connect your own sender.

The 4 questions, one by one

What each question asks, why it is there, what it shows you and what to change.

Question 1 of 4 · Stars

Overall, how satisfied were you with the event?

Why ask it
One overall rating gives the event a number you can hold next year's against, and stars are quick to tap on a phone over breakfast.
What you learn
Results shows the average, a bar for each star and the share who rated 4 or higher, against the period before. Select 1 or 2 stars to see what brought those guests.
Make it yours
Keep it first, so the stars sit inside the Usertick email and one tap opens the rest of the survey.
Question 2 of 4 · Multiple choice · Optional

What brought you to the event?

Why ask it
Knowing whether guests came for the cause, a friend or the speaker tells you what to lead with when you invite people next year. Guests can pick more than one reason.
What you learn
Bars show the share and count of each reason, with typed Other answers listed beside the chart, so a sponsor's table or a local news story shows up in guests' own words.
Make it yours
Add the names guests will recognize, such as your headline speaker or the band, so each reason is specific.
Question 3 of 4 · Yes / No

Would you like to volunteer with us?

Why ask it
Guests often leave a good event wanting to help, and a single yes or no finds them while that feeling lasts.
What you learn
Results shows the share who said yes. Select Yes to filter the whole page to those guests and see how they rated the night and what brought them.
Make it yours
Add a skip so a guest who answers No goes straight to the end, and only the guests who said yes see the contact question.
Question 4 of 4 · Contact · Optional

Leave your details and we'll be in touch

Why ask it
A yes helps only when your volunteer coordinator can reach the guest. The contact question collects a name and an email, and each answer also becomes a contact you can email later.
What you learn
Results shows a table of the names and emails guests left, with the date of each answer.
Make it yours
Keep it optional, and let a workflow add each new name to the Google Sheet your coordinator already uses.

What the answers show

Results turns each question into numbers you can follow week by week.

Overall, how satisfied were you with the event?

The average rating and the share who gave 4 or 5 stars, against the period before.

What brought you to the event?

The share of each answer with its count. Select an answer to narrow the whole page to those people and read what else they said.

Tips for this survey

Small choices that keep people answering and the answers useful.

  1. 01

Schedule the send before the event

Import your ticket buyers as a CSV into a list, and schedule the send for the next morning before the doors open, so it goes out while you are still clearing the venue.

  2. 02

Ask for details only after a yes

Add a skip on Would you like to volunteer with us?, so guests who answer No finish after three questions and never see the contact question.

  3. 03

    Pass names on within days

On every plan, a workflow posts each new contact answer to your team's Slack or Microsoft Teams channel, so the coordinator writes back while the evening is still a good memory.

  4. 04

Print the code on the program

Put the survey's QR code on the program or the table cards for guests who want to answer before they leave. Those answers join the same Results as the email.
