Usertick
Agent feedback survey template

Learn what clients say about your agents, in the week after closing

Three questions for buyers and sellers once the deal is done: how likely they are to recommend their agent, what stood out and what they would tell a friend. Use it as it is or change any question, and Usertick reads every written answer for you.

What this agent feedback survey tells you

A real estate agent feedback survey asks clients how working with their agent went, once the stress of the sale is over. This template takes about a minute: a recommendation score, the strengths that stood out, from quick replies to negotiation, and what the client would tell a friend thinking of working with you.

It is written for an email a week after closing, with the score inside the email so one tap starts the survey. The same template also runs as a link you paste into your own thank-you message, as a QR code on the card with a closing gift, as a popup on your agency's website or as a conversation.

Every written answer is read as it arrives and filed under a category from your list, such as communication or showings and listings, with a type and a sentiment, so praise and complaints are easy to tell apart. Results shows the recommendation score against the period before and the share of each strength.

The 3 questions, one by one

What each question asks, why it is there, what it shows you and what to change.

Question 1 of 3 · NPS

How likely are you to recommend your agent to a friend?

Why ask it
Past clients who recommend their agent bring in the next listings, so this score shows how each closing is likely to pay off later. Asking about the agent, rather than the agency, keeps the answer personal.
What you learn
The score, promoters minus detractors, with a bar of detractors, passives and promoters and a score line over time. With one copy of the survey per agent, you can compare agents side by side.
Make it yours
Name the agent in the email subject and intro, so the client knows who the question is about.
Question 2 of 3 · Multiple choice · Optional

What stood out about working with your agent?

Why ask it
The score says how a client feels about the agent, and the strengths say why. Five concrete behaviors, from replying quickly to handling the paperwork, show what each agent is known for.
What you learn
Bars with the share and count of each strength, since clients can pick several, with every typed Other answer listed beside the chart. Select Negotiated well to read the scores and comments of those clients.
Make it yours
Add the strengths your agency promises when it pitches for a listing, such as staging advice or local price data.
Question 3 of 3 · Text · Optional

What would you tell a friend who's thinking of working with us?

Why ask it
The answer reads like a recommendation in the client's own words, which makes it the raw material for a testimonial. It also brings out the one thing a client would warn a friend about.
What you learn
Each answer with its sentiment and theme, filterable by theme, with up to 8 themes and their trends. Usertick marks each answer as praise, a complaint or an idea, so the quotes worth following up are easy to find.
Make it yours
Ask the client before you publish any answer, or add a Consent question after this one that asks for permission.

Tips for this survey

Small choices that keep people answering and the answers useful.

  1. 01

    Ask a week after closing

By then the keys are handed over and the paperwork is done, and the client still remembers the details of the sale.

  2. 02

    Give each agent a copy

Results doesn't split answers by agent, so run one copy of the survey per agent, or add a question that names the agent. Each agent then sees their own score and strengths.

  3. 03

    Follow up with every promoter

Clients who score 9 or 10 are the ones to ask for a referral. Assign those responses to the agent in the inbox, so the follow-up happens the same week.

  4. 04

    Call every detractor

A client who scores 0 to 6 had a reason. A call from the broker or team lead can uncover a problem in the process that affects other clients too.

About a week after closing, when the move is under way and the client has had time to look back on the sale. Usertick doesn't send it automatically when a deal closes in your CRM, so send it from Usertick or schedule it when the closing date is set.

Yes, the questions work for both. To compare them, add a question that asks whether the client bought or sold, then select each answer in Results to filter the whole page.
