Usertick
Sponsor feedback survey template

Learn what sponsors got for their money, before you sell next year's packages

Four questions for the week after your event: the value of the sponsorship, a rating for leads, visibility, logistics and your team, the chance they sponsor again and what would make the package worth more. Use it as it is or change any question, and Usertick reads every written answer for you.

What this event sponsor survey tells you

An event sponsor survey asks the companies that paid to be at your event whether it was worth it. This template takes about a minute and a half: an overall value score, a rating for four parts of the sponsorship, the chance they sponsor again and one open question about the package.

It is written for an email a week after the event, sent by Usertick to your sponsor contacts once they have counted their leads. The same template also runs as a link in your own wrap-up email or sponsor report, so it can come from the account manager each sponsor already knows.

Every written answer is read as it arrives, given a type, a theme and a sentiment, and flagged when it reads as urgent, and each response gets a customer risk reading. Results shows the value score with the share who rated 4 or higher, a heat map for the four ratings, and the share likely to sponsor again.

The 4 questions, one by one

What each question asks, why it is there, what it shows you and what to change.

Question 1 of 4 · Stars

How would you rate the value you got from sponsoring this event?

Why ask it
Sponsors judge the event by what they got back for the fee. One value score, asked first, is the number to watch as you set next year's prices.
What you learn
The average out of 5, a bar for each rating and the share who rated 4 or higher, compared with the period before.
Make it yours
Keep it first, so sponsors can answer it inside the email with one tap and open the rest with the score kept.
Question 2 of 4 · Matrix · Optional

How would you rate the following?

Why ask it
Value depends on four things you control in different ways: the leads, the visibility, the setup and your own team. Rating them apart shows which one to fix.
What you learn
A heat map with a row for each part and its average, so strong visibility with weak leads stands out across all sponsors at once.
Make it yours
Add a row for each benefit you sold, such as a speaking slot or a logo on the lanyards, so every line of the package gets its own rating.
Question 3 of 4 · Multiple choice

How likely are you to sponsor again next year?

Why ask it
Renewal intent is the answer your sales team needs first. Asked a week out, it reflects the leads sponsors have actually followed up.
What you learn
A donut of very likely to unlikely with the count for each, compared with the period before. Select Not sure or Unlikely to read what those sponsors wrote about the package.
Make it yours
Call every sponsor who chose Not sure before you open renewals, since a better package can still win them.
Question 4 of 4 · Text · Optional

What would make the sponsorship package more valuable?

Why ask it
Sponsors tell you what to add, drop or price differently. The answers are the brief for next year's packages.
What you learn
Each answer with its sentiment and theme, filterable by theme, with up to 8 themes and their trends. Usertick marks each as an idea, a complaint or a question and flags the urgent ones, in any language.
Make it yours
Give each answer an owner in the inbox, the account manager for that sponsor, and keep notes on the reply.

Tips for this survey

Small choices that keep people answering and the answers useful.

  1. 01

Wait a week after the event

Sponsors need a few days to scan their leads and book their first calls. Schedule the send for a week out, so the value score reflects real follow-ups.

  2. 02

Send it in your sponsor lead's name

Set the sender name to the person who sold the packages and make them the reply-to, so a sponsor who replies reaches someone they know.

  3. 03

    Push answers to your CRM

On every plan, the HubSpot connector finds or creates each sponsor's contact and writes the answers to it. A Zapier step sends them to Salesforce.

  4. 04

    Compare sponsor tiers

When gold and silver sponsors got different benefits, add a question that names the tier, then select each tier in Results to compare the ratings.
