Corporate partner survey template

Walk into the renewal meeting knowing where the partnership stands

Three questions for corporate partners before renewal: how employee engagement, brand visibility, impact reporting and working together rate, how likely they are to renew and what would add value. Use it as it is or change any question, and Usertick reads every written answer for you.

What this corporate partner survey tells you

A corporate partner survey asks the companies that fund you how the partnership is working for them, before anyone talks about next year. This template takes about a minute: a grid for four parts of the partnership, how likely the company is to renew and one open question on what would make it more valuable.

It is written for the weeks before a renewal meeting, sent by Usertick to your contacts at each partner company, such as the community relations lead and the person who runs employee volunteering. The same survey runs as a link you add to your own email or to the partnership report you send them.

Every written answer is read as it arrives and filed under a category from your list, such as communication or impact and updates, with a type, a sentiment and a customer risk reading. Results shows a heat map of the four parts of the partnership with row averages and the share of each renewal answer, against the period before.

The 3 questions, one by one

What each question asks, why it is there, what it shows you and what to change.

Question 1 of 3 · Matrix · Optional

How would you rate the partnership on the following?

Why ask it
A corporate partnership has several goals at once, and the grid shows which ones are landing: staff taking part, the brand being seen, reports the company can use internally and how easy you are to work with. Each row matches a reason companies give, so a weak row names the part of the partnership at risk.
What you learn
A heat map shows each row from Poor to Excellent with its average, so a strong score for Brand visibility next to a weak one for Reporting on impact is plain before the meeting.
Make it yours
Add the goal your partner signed up for, such as a skills day or matched giving, as a fifth row.
Question 2 of 3 · Multiple choice

How likely are you to renew the partnership?

Why ask it
A direct question about renewing gives your team time to prepare: Not sure and Unlikely answers mean the meeting needs a different plan.
What you learn
A donut shows the share and count of each answer. Select Not sure or Unlikely to see how those partners rated each part of the partnership. Over time, the stacked shares show whether renewal intent across your partners is rising or falling.
Make it yours
Ask it two or three weeks ahead, so a Not sure answer becomes the first item on the meeting's agenda.
Question 3 of 3 · Text · Optional

What would make the partnership more valuable to your company?

Why ask it
The open question asks what the company needs from the partnership, often something you can offer, such as a team volunteer day or quarterly numbers for its own report.
What you learn
Usertick reads each answer as it arrives, files it under a category and a theme from your list, marks it as an idea, a complaint or a question, and flags the urgent ones. Select a theme to read every partner's request filed under it.
Make it yours
Bring a written reply to each answer to the renewal meeting, with what you can offer and by when.

Frequently asked questions

Two to three weeks before the renewal conversation. For partners on agreements of several years, send it once a year at the same time.

Everyone who works with you there: the person who signs the agreement, the community or CSR lead and whoever runs employee volunteering. Add each one as a contact and send to a list of partner contacts.

Yes, when Usertick sent the email: each answer is tied to the contact it went to. When you share the link yourself, add a first question that names the company.

Call the partner before the meeting and ask what changed. Bring the rows of the grid they rated low and what you plan to do about each one.

Once a year, before renewal, keeps it useful without tiring a busy contact. For a new partnership, a short check-in halfway through the first year helps too.
