Usertick
Coworking member survey template

Learn what keeps members at your space, before their membership comes up

Three questions for your members: how satisfied they are overall, how they rate desks, noise, meeting rooms, coffee and events, and what would keep them another year. Use it as it is or change any question, and Usertick reads every written answer for you.

What this coworking member survey tells you

A coworking member survey asks the people who work in your space every day what makes it worth the membership. This template takes about a minute: an overall rating, a grid for desks and chairs, noise, meeting rooms, coffee and the kitchen, and community events, and an open question about what would keep them another year.

It is written for an email to every member every six months, with the overall rating inside the email. The same template also runs as a QR code on the kitchen wall or the meeting room doors, as a link in your member newsletter or community chat, or as a popup in your booking app when it runs on your own domain.

Every written answer is read as it arrives and filed under a category from your list, such as building and common areas, with a type and a sentiment. Results shows the overall rating against the period before and a heat map of the grid, so the amenity pulling the score down is easy to spot.

The 3 questions, one by one

What each question asks, why it is there, what it shows you and what to change.

Question 1 of 3 · Stars

Overall, how satisfied are you with working here?

Why ask it
One overall rating gives you the number to track across rounds, before the details. It also shows whether a new layout or a price change moved how members feel.
What you learn
The average, a bar per rating and the share who rated 4 or higher, compared with the period before.
Make it yours
Keep it first, so members can answer inside the email with one tap.
Question 2 of 3 · Matrix · Optional

How would you rate the following?

Why ask it
Members stay or leave over everyday details: a wobbly chair, a phone call at the next desk, a meeting room that is always booked. Each row is something your community team can change.
What you learn
A heat map per row with row averages, so the weakest amenity stands out. Select a low overall rating to see which rows those members rated poorly.
Make it yours
Add rows for what you offer, such as phone booths, parking or the printer, and a Not applicable column, left out of the averages, for members who never book meeting rooms.
Question 3 of 3 · Text · Optional

What would keep you here another year?

Why ask it
The answer names what a member values enough to renew, or the one change that would keep them. It also brings out requests the grid can't, such as longer hours or a quiet zone.
What you learn
Each answer with its sentiment and theme, filterable by theme, with up to 8 themes and their trends, so a request that keeps coming up is easy to find.
Make it yours
Reply to the members who name a specific request, so they know it was heard.

Tips for this survey

Small choices that keep people answering and the answers useful.

  1. 01

    Ask twice a year

Every six months catches seasonal changes, such as summer heat or a busy January, without asking too often. Sends don't repeat on their own, so schedule each round from Usertick, up to 30 days ahead.

  2. 02

    Compare membership types

Hot desk members and private office teams want different things. Add a question for the membership type, then select each answer in Results to compare them.

  3. 03

    Run one copy per location

Results doesn't split answers by site, so give each location its own copy of the survey and compare them on a dashboard.

  4. 04

    Post what you changed

Pin a note on the kitchen board about the changes made after the last round, such as new chairs or quiet hours, so members see that answering is worth it.
