Valuation questions that show who is ready to list with you
Ask homeowners how the valuation visit went, how much they trust the figure and when they plan to list. Each question below comes with when to ask it and what the answer tells you.
What home valuation survey questions tell you
Home valuation survey questions ask homeowners how a valuation visit went: how well the agent explained the figure, how it compared with what they expected, whether they saw what similar homes sold for and how soon they plan to list. Homeowners often invite more than one agent, and how the figure was explained shapes which agent they call back.
Send the survey a day or two after the written valuation arrives, by email or with a link in your own follow-up. Pick five or six questions: the explanation rating, the figure against expectations, trust in the figure, the open question and when they plan to list.
Each written answer gets a category, a theme and a sentiment, and each response an urgency. Select This month on the listing question in Results to filter the page to homeowners ready to list, and give each one an owner in the inbox for a call.

The 13 valuations and pricing questions, with when to ask each
Grouped by what they tell you. Use them as they are or change the wording.
How the valuation was explained
Rate the explanation, the evidence, the visit and the booking, so you know which part of your valuation process to change.
- 01Stars

- 03Yes / No
Did the agent show you what similar homes sold for?
A plain yes or no on whether the agent showed what similar homes sold for. A No here usually comes with lower trust in the figure, so read the two together.
- 04Matrix

- 07Big scale

- 05Text
What did the valuation miss about your home?
An open question about what the valuation missed. Each answer gets a theme, so features agents overlook, such as a renovated kitchen or a quiet street, stand out.
- 11Slider
What price range would you accept for your home?
The price the homeowner would accept, on a slider. Results shows the median and the middle half; compare it with the figure given to see the gap you need to close.

Tips for asking about valuations and pricing
Small choices that get honest, useful answers.
- 01
Ask after the written report
Send the survey a day or two after the written valuation arrives, when the homeowner has the figure and the reasoning in front of them.
- 02
Show your evidence
When many homeowners say No to the question on similar homes, add recent sales to every written report and watch trust in the figure change.
- 03
Call ready sellers first
Select the homeowners planning to list this month in Results, and give each one an owner in the inbox for a call that week.
- 04
Ask homeowners who didn't list
Send the survey to every homeowner you valued for, including those who chose another agent. Their answers on the explanation and the visit show why.
