The 0 to 10 scale sits under the question, and the score comes back as a pill.
Ask one question at a time and follow each answer with a reply you wrote. Nothing is generated while people answer, and every question type, logic rule and timer works as before.
Select Chat in the editor, and the same questions arrive one at a time, word by word, with your reply after each answer. Logic, timers and required questions stay as they are.
Write what the chat says after each kind of answer, and let logic choose the next question. Nothing is generated while someone answers.
A rating or a score gets its own reply for a low, a middle and a high answer. A choice can have one per option, and yes and no one each.
Leave a field empty after a rating, a score or a written answer, and the chat adds a short thank-you that matches the answer.
Logic picks the next question from the answer, so a low score hears a different follow-up than a high one.
The chat asks with each question’s own control, from a 0 to 10 scale to a ranked list, and sums up the answer in a pill.
The 0 to 10 scale sits under the question, and the score comes back as a pill.
The options sit under the question. For a single answer, each option can have a reply of its own.
Five faces sit under the question, and the pill shows the face with its word.
Two buttons answer it, with a reply of its own for yes and for no.
Five stars sit under the question, and the pill shows the stars given.
Visitors drag the options into order, and the pill lists them by rank.
Give the chat a face and a name, dress it in your theme, and write it in each of your languages.
Show the first letter of the chat name in your theme color, a picture from your media library or no avatar at all. Turn on Show the name to put the chat name over the survey’s messages.
Colors, fonts, corners and dark mode come from the survey’s theme, so the chat matches the site, the page or the email it opens from.
Every reply you write can be translated into the survey’s other languages. In Arabic, Hebrew and other right-to-left languages, the conversation turns around.
Turn on Change answers, and selecting an earlier pill takes visitors back to that question. The questions after it are asked again.
Answers from every chat arrive in one place, already read, so your team starts with the ones that need attention.
AI reads each written answer as it arrives and sorts it by type, theme, sentiment and urgency, on every plan including Free.
See AI analysisResults shows the scores, the themes and the answers behind them, whether a survey ran as a chat or step by step.
See results and dashboardsOn every plan, rules send the urgent answers to Slack, Microsoft Teams, Jira or Linear. In the inbox, each answer gets an owner and a status.
See workflowsEach question types itself out like a message. Visitors who prefer reduced motion see the whole question at once.
People answer with the question’s own control, and the answer comes back as a pill on their side of the chat.
With Auto advance on, a one-tap answer such as a rating or a single choice moves the chat straight to the next question.
Chat runs in a popup, a side button or a survey embedded in your page, on the page behind a link or QR code, and after an email.
When someone answers the first question inside your email, the chat opens with that answer already in place.
An optional question shows Skip until it has an answer. A required one waits for its answer before the chat moves on.
Branching, question and survey timers and required questions all work exactly as they do in Step by step.
Give a variant its own replies, avatar or name, then compare which way of asking works better. Business and above.
Chat, your own replies and the built-in ones come with every plan, Free included.
Every template works as a chat. Start from one, or from a single question that reads well as a message, then make the wording your own.
No. Chat asks the questions you wrote, one at a time, as a conversation, and replies with your own sentences or a built-in thank-you. Nothing is generated while someone answers, and people respond with the question’s own controls, such as stars or options.
After a rating, the chat says “Thank you for the honest rating.”, “Thank you for the rating.” or “Thank you for the high rating.”, depending on the answer. After a score such as NPS, the same sentences say “score”. After a written answer, it says “Thank you for the detail.” Built-in replies are in English for now, so write your own for other languages.
Yes, when Change answers is on. Selecting an earlier answer returns to that question, and the questions after it are asked again.
Yes. The survey page behind links and QR codes shows the survey as a chat too, and when someone answers the first question inside an email, the chat opens with that answer in place.
Yes. Logic, question and survey timers, required questions and variants work the same way as in Step by step.
Every plan, Free included, with your own replies and the built-in ones.
Yes. On a phone, a popup opens as a sheet along the bottom of the screen, and the page behind a link fits the screen, so the chat reads like a message thread there too.
Yes. Any survey can run as a chat, NPS included. The 0 to 10 scale appears under the question, the score comes back as a pill, and the reply you wrote for a low, middle or high score follows.
