Financial services surveys that show where customers lose trust

Ask in your web app after a payment, by email once an account opens, and at the branch counter. Usertick reads every written answer, files it under payments, cards, fees, identity checks and security, and sends it to the team that can fix it.

Trust is won or lost in small moments

Financial services surveys work best at the moments that test trust: a transfer that takes longer than promised, an identity check that fails, a fee nobody expected. A banking customer satisfaction survey asked right then tells you what went wrong while the customer still remembers it.

With Usertick, the survey opens in your web app for signed-in customers, with their verified ID on every answer, or arrives by email after a card ships or an account opens. At the branch, a QR code on the counter or the receipt asks the same questions.

Every written answer is read as it arrives and filed under payments, cards, fees, identity checks or security, with its urgency. Workflows send app bugs to Jira, cases to Zendesk and scores to HubSpot, and screenshots blur card numbers and passwords before they leave the page.

Ask at the moments that test trust

From the first sign-up to the branch counter.

When a payment fails

Call Usertick.trigger('payment_failed') from your app, and a short survey asks whether the reason was clear and how easy it was to sort out. Starter and above, and 1 survey on Free.

When account opening stalls

Ask when someone leaves a sign-up form half filled, or when your code reports a failed identity check, and learn which step made them stop. Starter and above, and 1 survey on Free.

When the new card arrives

Email customers a week after the card ships, with the first question inside the message, and ask how long it took and whether the first payment went through.

At the branch

Put a QR code on the counter or the receipt, with one tagged link per branch, so every answer keeps the branch it came from. Routing by branch works on every plan.

After a fraud alert or a support case

Send the survey once the case closes, by email or as a link in your help desk's reply, and ask how quickly you acted and how safe the customer feels now.

Answers filed under payments, cards, fees and checks

When you choose Finance at sign-up, Usertick files every written answer under payments and transfers, cards, fees and rates, identity checks, security and fraud, app and sign in, support, or account opening, each with a theme, a type and an urgency. Rename the categories on any plan, and add loans, savings, statements or categories of your own within your plan's limit, from 5 categories on Free to 30 on Business.

Send each answer to the team that owns it

Workflows route answers by their category, urgency or score as they arrive.

Transfer complaints to the payments team

Post answers filed under payments and transfers to the payments channel in Slack or Microsoft Teams, with buttons to take them on or set their status. Every plan.

A ticket for the customer who needs a reply

Open a Zendesk ticket with the answers as an internal note and the customer as the requester. Every plan.

App bugs in Jira or Linear

Create an issue from a bug report with the customer's screenshot attached, and its status and comments sync back to the answer. Every plan.

The score on the customer's record

Write each answer and the latest scores to the HubSpot contact, and add a follow-up task for the owner. Every plan, with the task from Starter.

An alert when urgent answers pile up

Set a line, such as 5 urgent responses in 24 hours. Usertick checks every hour and posts to Slack or Teams once it is crossed. Every plan.

Verified customers, and sensitive details kept out

Pass each signed-in customer with a hash your server computes, so every answer shows whether its identity was verified. On every plan, screenshots that customers attach show dots in place of card numbers, security codes, passwords and one-time codes, and one attribute on your page masks balances and account numbers too. Two-factor authentication and the activity log come with every plan, and on Business your team signs in through SAML single sign-on with SCIM.

Works with your banking stack

Send answers to Jira, Zendesk, HubSpot, Intercom or Segment, and reach Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics 365 or ServiceNow through a Zapier step, on every plan.

How finance teams start with Usertick

Four steps from the script tag to answers in your tools.

  1. 1

Add Usertick to your web app

Paste the script tag or install the npm package, then call Usertick.identify() with each customer's ID and the hash your server computes.

  2. 2

    Start from a template

Pick Account opening, Banking app, Failed payment or Trust and support, or describe the moment to Create with AI.

  3. 3

    Choose the moment

Open the survey with an event from your code or when a form is left unfinished, or email it once an account is approved, then choose how often it returns.

  4. 4

    Route the answers

Add a workflow that posts transfer complaints to Slack, sends app bugs to Jira and writes scores to HubSpot.

How finance teams get answers they can use

Six habits that keep surveys short, safe and worth answering.

  1. 01

    Ask right after the moment

Ask within minutes of a transfer or a failed payment, while the customer still knows exactly what happened.

  2. 02

    Ask the people who stopped

Customers who abandon sign-up never reach a final survey. Ask them on the step where they stopped.

  3. 03

Never ask for card or ID numbers

Usertick's terms don't allow card numbers, passwords or government ID numbers in surveys, and Create with AI refuses to write such questions.

  4. 04

Mask what a screenshot could show

Add data-usertick-mask to balances, account numbers and names, so screenshots show dots in their place.

  5. 05

    Let a person decide

AI sorts every answer, and a person decides what happens to a customer. Usertick's terms don't allow AI output as the only basis for a credit or insurance decision.

  6. 06

    Tell customers what changed

When feedback leads to a fix, such as a clearer fee page, tell the customers who raised it.

Templates and questions for banks, fintech and insurers

Frequently asked questions

No. Usertick holds no SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certificate of its own and makes no PCI DSS claim. Keep payment data out of surveys: Usertick's terms don't allow collecting card numbers, passwords or government ID numbers, and screenshots blur card fields. The security page and the Data Processing Addendum, which applies on every plan, describe what Usertick does.

Yes, on every plan. Call Usertick.identify() with the customer's ID and a hash your server computes, and each answer carries the verified ID and the traits you pass, such as the account type, the name and the email. In Enforced mode, a response without a valid hash keeps its answers and loses the identity, so nobody can answer in another customer's name.

In a web app and on your mobile website, yes. Usertick has no native iOS or Android SDK, so reach app customers by email, or open the survey's link from the app with the customer's verified ID added to it.

Yes. A survey can open when someone leaves a form unfinished, clicks a button such as Finish later, or when your code sends an event, for example after a failed identity check, on 1 survey on Free and on every survey from Starter. Exit intent works on every plan. Usertick asks the people who stop, and doesn't measure the funnel itself.

Screenshots that customers attach, on every plan, show dots in place of passwords, card numbers, security codes, expiry dates and one-time codes. Add data-usertick-mask to any element, such as a balance, to mask it too, or data-usertick-ignore to leave it out. On a page too large to draw, the customer can choose to share the screen instead, and that picture isn't masked.

Yes, on Business. Connect Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, Google Workspace, OneLogin, JumpCloud or another SAML provider, and let SCIM add and remove members. Two-factor authentication and the activity log come with every plan, and custom roles that open only chosen surveys come with Business as well.

Yes. On Pro and above, the REST API erases one response or everything one person sent, found by email or user ID, together with its AI readings, notes and files. On any plan, Usertick support carries out the same erasure on your documented request.

HubSpot, Zendesk, Intercom, Jira and Linear connect directly on every plan. Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics 365, ServiceNow and Freshdesk work through a Zapier step in a workflow, and Salesforce, Dynamics 365 and ServiceNow need a paid Zapier plan.

Yes, once you allow scripts from cdn.usertick.com, connections to collect.usertick.com, api.usertick.com and cdn.usertick.com, pictures and video from media.usertick.com, and inline styles. The widget uses no eval and renders inside its own shadow DOM, so your page's styles and the survey's never mix.

In-app and email surveys, identity verification, Results, AI reading and workflows to Slack, Jira, Zendesk and HubSpot come with every plan, the free plan included. Starter adds targeting and filters by traits, event and abandoned-form triggers on every survey and screenshots without a limit, Pro adds the REST API, and Business adds custom roles, single sign-on and SCIM.
