Beach packages survey questions

Beach vacation questions that show whether the resort lived up to its photos

Ask guests about the beach, the loungers, the food over the week and how the resort compared with its photos. Each question below comes with when to ask it and what the answer tells you.

What beach resort survey questions tell you

Beach resort survey questions ask package guests how the beach was, how far the room was from the sand, whether a lounger was free, how the food held up over the week and how well the resort matched its photos. Beach guests compare the stay with the listing they booked from, and these answers show where the two drift apart.

Ask within a day or two of getting home by email or link, or on the last morning with a QR code in the room. Pick four to six questions, and tag each link with the resort and the board type so answers keep them for Google Sheets and workflows.

Written answers get a theme and a sentiment, so complaints about loungers reserved at dawn or repetitive buffets add up by resort. The inbox gives each response an owner and a status, so a problem room gets passed to the hotel.

The 14 beach packages questions, with when to ask each

Grouped by what they tell you. Use them as they are or change the wording.

The beach and the room

The beach, the distance to the sand, the loungers and the nights booked cover what beach guests came for.

  1. 01Stars

    How was the beach itself?

A star rating for the beach itself. Results shows the average and the share who rated 4 or higher; tag links by resort to compare beaches across your packages.

  2. 02Multiple choice

How close was your room to the sand?

Distance from room to sand, from on the beach to farther than expected. Any share for the last answer means the listing oversells the location.

  3. 03Yes / No

Was there a sun lounger free when you wanted one?

A yes or no on finding a free sun lounger. A low share of yes answers points to towel reservations at dawn or too few loungers for the number of guests.

  4. 11Ruler

How many nights was your beach stay?

Nights in the stay, from 0 to 21. Skip it when the booking already carries the length as a tag on the link; Results shows the median and the middle half.

The resort against its promise

Photos, the first morning, the atmosphere and the grid show where the resort met or missed expectations.

  1. 05Big scale

How well did the resort match its photos?

How well the resort matched its photos, from 1 to 10. Results shows the average and a column per step; a low score means the listing needs new photos before the next booking.

  2. 09Emoji

How did the first morning at the resort feel?

Five faces for the first morning. Results shows each face's share; a poor first morning can trace back to the transfer or the room on arrival.

  3. 12Yes / No

Was the resort as quiet or as lively as you hoped?

A yes or no on whether the resort was as quiet or as lively as hoped. Select No to read what those guests expected, which helps you describe the atmosphere better.

  4. 10Matrix

    Rate the resort on each

Rates the pools, beach service, rooms and entertainment. The heat map shows which part of the resort lets guests down, with row averages to follow each one.

Food and how days were spent

Board, food over the week and how guests split their days show what they used and paid for.

  1. 07Dropdown

    Which board did you book?

The board booked, from room only to all inclusive. Select a board in Results to compare food answers between half board and all inclusive guests.

  2. 08Multiple choice

How did the food hold up over the week?

How the food held up over the week, from getting better to poor throughout. A large share for repetitive food points to the menu rotation.

  3. 04Points allocation

Split 100 points across how you spent your days

Guests split 100 points across the beach, the pool, eating and drinking, day trips and doing nothing. Results shows the average points per item, how guests actually use the resort.

Coming back

What would bring guests back, advice for friends and the staff who stood out.

  1. 13Ranking

Rank what would bring you back

Guests rank what would bring them back, from a better room to a shorter transfer. Results shows the average place per item, a list to take to the hotel partner.

  2. 06Text

What would you tell a friend before they book this resort?

An open question on advice for a friend. The answers read like honest reviews, and each gets a theme and a sentiment for the resort's report.

  3. 14Text

What did the staff do that you still remember?

An open question on staff guests still remember. Pass named praise to the hotel, and use the themes to see which kinds of service guests notice.

Tips for asking about beach packages

Small choices that get honest, useful answers.

  1. 01

    Ask once guests are home

Send the survey a day or two after the return flight, when guests can compare the stay with what they booked.

  2. 02

    Tag resort and board

Tag each link with the resort and the board type, so all inclusive and room only guests can be compared fairly.

  3. 03

    Check the photos first

When the photo score drops, review the listing photos before changing anything at the resort.
