Late night transfers survey questions

Late arrival questions that show how the last hour of a long travel day went

Ask travelers about the pickup point, the wait, the driver and how safe the ride felt when they arrived late. Each question below comes with when to ask it and what the answer tells you.

What late night transfer survey questions tell you

Late night transfer survey questions ask travelers how they got from a late flight or train to their bed: whether the driver was waiting, how long they stood around, how easy the pickup point was to find and how safe the ride felt. After midnight, staff are scarce, shops are closed and a missed pickup leaves a tired traveler stranded, so these answers carry more weight than daytime ones.

Ask the next day by email or link, after the traveler has slept. Pick four to six questions, and tag each link with the transfer supplier and the arrival airport so every answer keeps them for workflows and Google Sheets.

Written answers get a type, a sentiment and an urgency, so a traveler left without a ride or a ride that felt unsafe reaches an owner in the inbox first. On every plan, a workflow can post these to the operations team's Slack or Microsoft Teams channel.

The 14 late night transfers questions, with when to ask each

Grouped by what they tell you. Use them as they are or change the wording.

The arrival

When the traveler arrived, how they got to bed, how the transfer was booked and whether the driver's details came in time.

  1. 01Date

What time did you land or arrive?

The arrival date, picked on a calendar. The date type records the day only; to capture the hour, change the answer type or ask for the flight number. Results shows a calendar of dates.

  2. 02Multiple choice

How did you get to your bed that night?

How the traveler reached their bed, from a booked transfer to someone picking them up. Select a taxi or a rideshare in Results to compare those travelers' safety and price answers.

  3. 12Dropdown

How did you book the transfer?

How the transfer was booked, from with the flight to on arrival. Select a channel in Results to see which booking route leads to the most missed pickups.

  4. 13Yes / No

Did you get the driver's details before you landed?

A yes or no on getting the driver's details before landing. Select No to see whether those travelers also struggled to find the pickup point.

The pickup

The meeting point, the driver waiting, the minutes and the grid show where the pickup went wrong.

  1. 11Customer effort

How easy was it to find the meeting point?

A customer effort score for finding the meeting point, on seven points. A low share who found it easy calls for clearer directions or a photo in the booking email.

  2. 03Yes / No

Was your driver waiting when you came out?

A yes or no on the driver waiting at arrival. Every No is worth a reply and a word with the supplier; select it to read what happened next.

  3. 04Ruler

How many minutes did you wait for the ride?

Minutes waited for the ride, from 0 to 90. Results shows the median and the middle half; at night, the long waits at the top of the range are worth reading one by one.

  4. 08Matrix

Rate each part of the late arrival

Rates finding the pickup point, the wait, the driver and the ride. The heat map shows which step lets late travelers down, with row averages to follow each one.

The ride and the price

Safety, the night price and how the day ended show whether the service was worth it.

  1. 05Stars

How safe did the ride feel?

A star rating for how safe the ride felt. Results shows the average and a bar per rating; give every low rating an owner in the inbox the same day.

  2. 10Multiple choice

How did the late night price feel?

How the late night price felt, from far too high to good value. The donut shows the share for each, a check on night surcharges.

  3. 07Big scale

How well did the arrival end your travel day?

How well the arrival ended the travel day, from 1 to 10. Results shows the average and a column per step, a single score for your late arrival service.

What late arrivals need

Rank the hardest parts and collect advice for the next traveler who lands late.

  1. 09Ranking

Rank what made arriving late hardest

Travelers rank what made arriving late hardest, from the pickup point to tiredness. Results shows the average place per item, which tells you what to fix first.

  2. 06Text

What would have made the late arrival easier?

An open question on what would have made the late arrival easier. Each answer gets a theme, so requests for food, a lit pickup point or a call from the driver add up.

  3. 14Text

What should we tell travelers who land after midnight?

An open question for advice to travelers who land after midnight. The best answers belong in your booking confirmation for night arrivals.

Tips for asking about late night transfers

Small choices that get honest, useful answers.

  1. 01

    Ask the next day

Send the survey the day after arrival, once the traveler has slept. Asked at two in the morning, the answers mostly measure tiredness.

  2. 02

    Read safety answers first

Give every low safety rating and every missed pickup an owner in the inbox before anything else.

  3. 03

    Tag the supplier

Tag each link with the transfer supplier and the airport, so every answer keeps them and you can raise problems with the right partner.

  4. 04

    Send driver details early

When travelers say they had no driver details before landing, send them with the booking and again the day before.
